Not Slacking

Just so you know that I am not slacking, camping and blogging is a trick.  I pulled into one restaurant and asked first if they had Wifi and they said they "thought so".  After I ordered, they came back and said, "Oh, we don't have Wifi, because of the roof."  Oh yeah, the roof.  I forgot about the roof dilemmas.

Yesterday I was looking through old newspapers in a small town where my grandfather lived most of his life.  I asked if the newspaper office had Wifi that I could use.  The receptionist looked like she wasn't sure and finally said that the gentlemen who knew about that stuff would be back shortly.  When he returned he explained that the WiFi stopped working last week and he hadn't had time to look into the problem.  He then stood on a chair and opened a high cabinet.  From the top shelf he pulled out a long phone connection wire and hooked it up to my computer.  Seems like he should tell this secret to the receptionist!

I'll be camping most of the next week or so, so if you don't hear from me you'll know that I am living outside of the computer age.  Time traveling as it were.
